We have been sitting on this story for a while due to all the holiday rush but finally had some time to sneak it in. As we had mentioned before Weezer front-man Rivers Cuomo is recovering after a freak accident that involved his bus skidding off the road. Unfortunately, the bad news is that now the recently announced January dates on the Ratitude Tour have been canceled due to doctor's orders.
According to the band's website, Cuomo is in Los Angeles re-cooperating after a 48 hour bus drive from the Albany Medical Center. The rocker had to go by tour bus due to concerns surrounding cabin pressure on airplanes damaging his punctured lung.
You can see the whole thing documented in the newest Weezer webisode, "The Road To Recovery",where you'll see the front-man testing out lung power on a breathing apparatus.
Not all hope is lost, the Weezer clan will officially begging touring again on May 2010 when they headline The Bamboozle Festival in East Ruthford, New Jersey.
Here's the video of Rivers Cuomo on the road! We'd like to wish our Nimrods happy holidays!!!
