Travis Barker Confirms September Release For Solo Album
Back in February Travis Barker announced that he would be working on his debut solo album, now he recently confirmed on Twitter (@trvsbrkr) that the record is set to be released sometime in September.
Barker has been working hard on his album and has collaborated with some well known stars in the music biz to mirror his eclectic taste. He recently told Spinner.com about what his fans could expect with his new project. "I just love music. The more I can be around it the better, so with my album it's no one genre. It goes from everything from punk rock to hip-hop to some electro stuff on there to a metal song with Corey Taylor from Slipknot. It's been really fun and interesting up till now."
The drummer is dabbing into hip hop waters with lyrical guests like Lil Wayne, RZA, The Game, Paul Wall, Bun B and The Clipse and many more. Other details about Barker's album are still unknown, but this punk being a multi-talented artist will more than likely handle the majority of the producing himself.
On top of all this, Travis announced earlier this year that The Transplants would be making another album since their hiatus in 2006 and is currently working on this project. Along with Travis on drums, this band features Rancid singer/guitarist Tim Armstrong and "Skinhead" vocalist Rob Aston.
All very exciting news, we wish Travis tons of luck!
