Spoon 2009Starting the new year in full swing, pop/rock band Spoon will release their next album on January 26th, 2010. They've titled it, "Transference" and "Got Nuffin" will be the first song featured off of it, even though the tune was already released during this past summer. The quartet is best known for their hit, "I Turn My Camera On" from 2005's "Gimme Fiction".

Spoon recorded the 11-track record in Austin, Texas and is the studio album follow up to "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga" from 2007. Other than doing another album, what else have the guys been up to? During the summer the guys played three gigs in Austing brilliantly labeled, SpoonX3. This show featured groovy indie and other lesser known bands.

There isn't much word of an upcoming tour, but the guys have a few shows lined up here and there. Starting on December 3rd at the Midland Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri, following with December 4th at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts and New Year's Eve with Jay Reatard at the Riverisde Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The track-list for "Transference" is below:

  1. Before Destruction
  2. Is Love Forever?
  3. The Mystery Zone
  4. Who Makes Your Money
  5. Written in Reverse
  6. I Saw the Light
  7. Trouble Comes Running
  8. Goodnight Laura
  9. Out Go the Lights
  10. Got Nuffin
  11. Nobody Gets Me But You

Right before we go, here's a clip to "Got Nuffin", enjoy!
