New Evanescence Coming This Year!

Amy Lee has confirmed that Evanescence returned to the studio on February 22nd to record their first follow up album since "The Open Door" in 2006 with Grammy winning producer, Steve Lillywhite.

The group's front-woman posted a new message to her fans on the band's official website. "I can't explain how excited I am to make this record. Over the past year and a half these songs have become the center of my life, and I can't wait to hear what they grow into in the studio. I think our sound is evolving into something that will surprise people, in a very good way. I feel, as always, that growth can bnne an incredible, limitless thing if you let it. I never want to make the same album twiced."

According to Artist Direct the expected release date should be between late August and early September. has only stated that it will be sometime late this fall. These rockers however aren't letting their fans wait that long for new material! Their new single, "Together Again", is now available to download from any service. The song was initially suppose to be on the soundtrack to the first "Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe", but had to be taken off the tracklisting by Disney because it was "too dark."

I'm dead excited to see what's in store for the next chapter in Evanescence's new era! Before we go, here's the new tune "Together Again". Enjoy!
