HOWDY Nimrods!!

Even though there's a high of 79 degrees, and good chance of rain here in Central Florida, we're full of the holiday spirit.

So when you sit down tonight to eat your super feast, and tear open your presents just remember to be thankful for all you've got. And everything you'll be getting in the coming year. I can tell you that we definitely are grateful for getting more than we ever deserve.

To give you all a special treat, we have set up a super cool skin for our forum. Just to let you all feel like you're in a winter wonderland. I give kudos to Nimrod God for making it an absolute work of art! Also, to make things more festive, we've made an entire holiday play list full of old and new music.We picked those our ourselves, and got some help from our lovely users as well.

Don't forget! If you did not get want you wanted this year, Santa Clause has got a great time planned out next year. I cannot wait for all the fun to start. As we mentioned before, Green Day's street team is up and running strong. I hope you're a team member by now right? If you are, then you already got an email reminding you to be apart of this great event again. The link can be found here.

That's right kids, Green Day is coming back in 2009 whether you like it or not. You want to support your favorite band right? This is a great way to start! Starting December 19th, 2008, and ending February 01st, 2009, post brand new "Green Day Coming 2009" banners anywhere and everywhere.

Doing so is super easy! Click on missions and it will give you the plan of action for the next couple of months. Then click on tools, and it will let  you have the goods for what you have to do to get the word out. When you're done, click on mission details.After that, you'll see a link that says report progress and fill it out. That simple!

Spread these banners quickly, they're really awesomely designed!

Hello Nimrod homeslices? How's everything going? Enjoying the nippy weather?

The holiday season isn't the only thing you should be excited about. It seems like next year is going to be quite spectacular.

BlicOnline has asked their frequent readers to take part in a poll to choose 30 performers to stir up some musical magic at next year's Exit Festival. I know all you guys are super excited to know the results huh?

Although there could only be five artists at the show, the reader's choices were pretty interesting. Coldplay won the greatest amount of votes, followed by 80's rock band, Guns 'N' Roses. I was glad to see my guys, Green Day in the top 10. The entire list consists of these acts:

According to the general manager of Exit, Bojan Boskovic, the poll shows that their audience have quite picky tastes. Also adding that the top five bands being mainstream is weird since their country of Serbia lacks media and musical programming.

During the next eight months we'll get to see whether or not the organizers will take these choices into thought for 2009's festivals. Hello hello my Nimrod homies!!

The wonderful and talented Kelly Clarkson is coming at you jam packed with news. You may remember her as the American Idol winner from Season One. 

Starting in very early January, we'll be sharing more news, music and other surprises. Along with a new sound, comes a new website. It'll be called KellyOfficial.com instead of KellyClarksonweb.com!

She's picking up from where she left off, her fourth album will be out on March 17, 2009! The first single off it will be called, My Life Would Suck Without You. Die hard KC fans can pre-order their copy here on Amazon.com. This is a great deal as well, it's actually pretty affordable. I myself am a huge Clarkson fan, her music is really amazing. If you'd like to sample it, just take the time to visit her Myspace.

Kelly's previous albums include: Thankful, Breakaway, and My December. In my humble opinion, My December being her best work. This next one could possibly change my opinion, we will once again see how awesome she is.  Although, there's still no mention of what this work of art will be called, it's safe to say, it will totally rock!

Hello Nimrods, how's it going so far?

More Green Day news! The guys have an official street team by the name of The Street Network. You want to support our guys right? Well, there's no doubt that 2009 will be an amazing year for them.

The link to the site can be found here. If you're still curious about what exactly a street team does, you're in luck. The link also provides a frequently asked questions, and one of them asks who's qualified to be a member. Basically, anyone and everyone who not only has access to the internet, but also has a deep enthusiastic passion for music.

To be apart of a street team, click on their "teams" page and select an artist to support. You'll be asked to fill out an application, and if it is selected, you'll be on your way to making creative fliers and stickers for that particular band. The more activities and missions you do, the more points you'll accumulate. It'll earn you prizes, giveaways and much much more.

Now, you're asking if you'll be able to meet the bands. As with the points accumulated, it'll better your chances. Although all of it depends on the band's tour schedule, if they're in your particular town, make sure you let the street team know about it. And I know we all want to meet Green Day right? I sure as hell would kill for that opportunity!

Hello everyone what's happening?

If you've been lurking around You Tube, you'll notice that Green Day have revamped their official You Tube channel. It's now coinciding with their new buffed up website.

There's even a sweet banner that links to their web! All the videos you love are still there, so do take a moment and subscribe or add them as a friend. You can see this awesome new design here! It has the whole gray and black theme going on, I personally love it! All the band news buzzing around is surely making me excited for 2009!

This year will be completely over in a matter of days, so you'll want to get a brand new calendar as soon as you can. Crawling around Amazon, I noticed these super awesome, and affordable 12 month calendars. Enjoy 12 whole months of Green Day. These are perfect to go on your wall aside from all your posters!

All Green Day fans can order them here on Amazon.com!! These would be great to mark the album release date, and whenever they tour in your town....and no, there's no official word yet!! In addition to all this, the awesome Mike Dirnt paid a visit to the Copro Nason Gallery in Los Angeles, California. The art exhibition was entitled, The "Good Samaritan's." You can see a picture of Mike here on GreenDay.com. There's also a post and a slide show about the event.

Now that we have that out of the way, I hope you have read through the NRDC information we last posted. We cannot afford to lose our wilderness. Kudos to Billie Joe for bringing that to all the fan's attention! Well, speaking of Billie Joe, I hope you all enjoyed reading through the last AP interview. We know you cannot wait until the Green Day year that is 2009!
