Green Day Win Best Rock Album
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards were held last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. This star studded event featured artists spanning all musical genres such as: Katy Perry, Weird Al Yankovic, Jay-Z, Rhianna and several others.
After losing twice to Kings of Leon for "Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group" and "Best Rock Song", Green Day snagged a Grammy for "Best Rock Album" for "21st Century Breakdown". They beat out AC/DC, U2, Dave Matthews Band and Eric Clapton who were also nominated for this category. The guys also pulled off an electrifying performance of "21 Guns" with the cast of the "American Idiot" musical.
Other rockstar winners included Bruce Springsteen for the "Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance" category, AC/DC for "Best Hard Rock Performance" and Judas Priest for "Best Metal Performance".
Rounding out the final award for "Album Of The Year" was Taylor Swift who also took home three other trophies for "Best Country Song", "Best Country Album" and "Best Female Country Vocal Performance". Also scoring big last night was Beyonce for snagging "Song of The Year", "Best Female R&B Vocal Performance", "Best R&B Song", "Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance" and "Best Contemporary R&B Album".
Congratulations to all of the evening's winners! Before we let you go, here's Green Day's performance of "21 Guns"!

I loved the performance.. I wanna see the musical now more than ever!
Hey there Nimrod, thanks for your comment there. I find it hilarious Mike's reaction to the singer, she was being too grabby imo.
Two things come to mind here...
One: Must be very nerve-wrecking to sing a song to the person who wrote it... in front of so many people...
Two: Here is what I believe went through Mike's head... "God Damn-it I told her not to do that all through rehearsal... now Brittney is going to give me so much shit for this... Oh good, she left me alone, let me go next to Tre!"
Any other thoughts on this?
