Hello everyone, it has certainly been a sad couple of days indeed with the recent passing of comedian Bernie Mac, and musician Isaac Hayes. The world of rock and roll is having its fair share of grievances. Massive record producer, Jerry Finn past away August 12, 2008 at the age of 38. He was briefly put on life support after suffering a brain hemorrhage last month.
He is best known for producing some of our favorite albums from top bands such as, Green Day, Blink182, Offspring, AFI, and his recent project, Morrissey. Due to this tragic event, Morrissey's album will be pushed back to early February 2009. You can read this article here. There's also a quote from a close friend of Finn's,"At this time the hemorrhage has done massive damage to his body which will leave him severely disabled and in need of acute care for the rest of his life. We know Jerry wouldn't want to live like this in a vegetative state." Finn got his start in the music business by work as an engineer in the early nineties, then started flexing his production skills on punk band, Rancid's album,"...And Out Come The Wolves." His work will be severely missed in the world of music, we hope the best for his friends and family. May he Rest In Peace!
