MTV Networks' high definition channel, MGD is taking music television to a whole new level with their new channel. Viewers will be able to experience music programming with a super cool name, Palladia. This unique name means exactly what it is set out to do,"solidifying its position to bring music in a high-def universe!"
"It's a bigger, more distinct name for a channel that has grown in size as well as satisfaction among music HD fans, We're also reinforcing that the channel is THE home for an increasingly broad range of musical styles and artists in high-def performances that can't be seen anywhere else. We believe these changes will help our distributor partners as they continue to sell HD and strive for the best content," Vice President and General Manager of MTV and Vh1, Tom Calderone is quoted as saying. Music television like you have never seen it before, more genres will become available as well as more premier programing. Every Saturday night, a different concert will be shown at exactly 9 pm, rockers are going to be enjoying seminal rock movies, those are to be shown on Thursday nights at 9pm. Premiering the first week of September, yes of this year, Palladia will be broadcasting, "Outdoor Music Week," Featuring your favorite artists, such as: Madonna, Usher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who, Green Day, Genesis, Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse, Foo Fighters, Kanye West, David Bowie, Snoop Dogg, Sugarland, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dierks Bentley, Hank Williams Jr., Queen, Will Smith, and The Rolling Stones. Oh my gosh, that sounds amazing! Speaking of Green Day, Bullet In A Bible will be premiering on September 3, 2008 Wednesday night at 9pm.
