appic.png Hey kids, so what are you going to be doing Friday night, April 24th let's say around 8pm EST? If you are anything like us, you'll be sitting in front of your television waiting to see the premiere of Green Day's new video for "Know Your Enemy".

That's right! The guys have been hard at work making the video for their hot new single. It will premiere on music channels such as: MTV, VH1, The N, Palladia, MTV
Networks’ high-definition music channel, MTV2, MTV Hits, MTV.com,
VH1.com as well as on MTV and VH1's international channels and MTVNHD,
the company’s international high definition service on Friday, April 24th at 8pm EST (international times will be announced locally).

The video will be the first off their highly anticipated album, "21 Century Breakdown" also due out on Friday May 15th, 2009. That's not all, the video will also be the first globally cross-channel premiere for MTV and VH1 networks. Whoa, that's really awesome!

This will demonstrate MTV's unique connection to fans all over the world. President of MTV Networks Music and Logo Group, Van Toffer shares why he's excited, "we love that Green Day has chosen MTV and VH1 as the exclusive outlets to introduce their newest video to their fans around the world. We've enjoyed a great relationship with the band for years and playing a part the launch of their latest album is a huge deal for us all."

Know Your Enemy” will premiere on MTV’s on-air and digital assets
which number more than 140 windows, including 66 channels and 200
websites in 162 countries.  Via VH1 channels, the video will
air in 134 countries across Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Bruce Gilmer of SVP Talent & Music MTVN International also spills the beans about the band, "Green Day is one of the world's most successful bands with hardcore fans from The US to Japan, and only MTV can connect them on literally hundreds of platforms."

He also goes on to tell why no other channel comes close to MTV and its networks, "the global breadth of MTV's Networks is unmatched and makes us unique positioned to bring our audiences exclusive access to some of their favorite artists."

This new album is regarded as the encore to 2004's "American Idiot", and is expected to top it. Green Day is also expected to do a massive North American indoor tour starting in July. They're going to be hitting South America, Asia and returning the states in 2010.
