Buy All I Ever Wanted March 10
Hello all you Nimrods! Hope your weekend was great, and we're glad you're joining us!
Looking for some cool new music to occupy your iPod? Idol queen, Kelly Clarkson releases her fourth album on March 10th, 2009. It was originally going to be released March 17th, but fortunately got pushed up a week early. Awesome!
I pre-ordered my copy last December from Amazon.com and have actually heard the entire thing from You Tube. While I'm a huge fan of the great KC herself, I do have to say that this is definitely a different move for her. It's pumped with high energy dance, electro pop, 60's and 70's beats and let's not forget, some good old rock and roll!
One of my favorite tracks on the album is "Whyyouwannabringmedown?" which Clarkson describes as "British pop punk." That is always a good thing! Can't go wrong with punk rock, which is awesome!
Songs like "Long Shot" and "(I Do Not) Hook Up", were both co-written by Katy Perry. Also, the title track "All I Ever Wanted", harbors a 70's disco beat. Speaking of going retro, "I Want You" reminiscences a groovy 60's tune.
As a fan, I am glad Kelly outdoes herself on every album. Everything from "Thankful" to her latest creation has all been unique, she is truly an experimental artist. That in itself is extremely refreshing nowadays! I'm already anticipating her fifth album, but that'll be another day.
Here's an article from USA Today, KC speaks bout her past albums and her thoughts on dating. Also, you can read about her on Newsweek.com! You can read it on her official website here.
Kelly is expected to tour in support of "All I Ever Wanted", and will make a stop at this year's Mardi Gras in Universal Studios, Florida. I can't wait to see her live, it's going to be incredible!
Now I will leave you with a video with the starlet herself speaking about making her album. Enjoy it everyone!
