Howdy Nimrod world, How are you?
Coldplay have been in the headlines lately with their new album, Viva La Vida. They're currently touring the United States and Europe. Not only that, but they won two awards at this year's World Music Awards. So what else could be going on with these guys you may ask? Lead singer, Chris Martin spills the beans about how he thinks the band has made it big so far. He talks to Contactmusic.com about U2 and of course, Green Day, "The reason we're the biggest band in the world at the moment is because the others are on holiday. That's how you get your breaks. That's how the understudy gets its opportunity. While U2 and Green Day are away, we've got to make the most of it." For a man who's been so blessed with massive success, he points out his band will be unnoticeable once U2 and Green Day release their albums next year. Very humble words indeed, but I believe all three bands will share the spotlight equally. Especially since Coldplay's time in the limelight has only just begun. You can read this article right here. And to be honest, I think 2009 will be a great year for music. Can't wait for those tours!! Comment Here
