Now that Obama has been announced President of the United States, he's not the only one that is creating a stir. Rockers, Coldplay took home the awards for "Rock Act Of The Year" and "World's Top-Selling Act" at the 2008's World Music Awards. The event took place in the little country of Monaco.

The quintent is on tour now here in America starting on November 11, 2008, then they will finish in Europe on February 15, 2009. So get your tickets now while they're available! We're sure they are going to sell out super fast. All you Coldplay fans dont' want to miss out on this.

Other artists winning big were, Leona Lewis receiving an award for "Best New Artist" and "Female Pop." Amy Whinehouse also got a trophy for "Female Pop/Rock." Kid Rock wasn't left out either, he got the title for "Male Pop." So a big kudos to all this year's big winners!

And to top it all off, former Beatle's drummer, Ringo Star accepted the "Diamond Award" on behalf of his band. This rare award is given to few musicians who have sold over 100 millon albums. Amazing! As for artists who performed, Beyonce and Kid Rock supplied the show with their own special entertainment.
