Welcome Nimrods to another informative front page!
RollingStone.com has printed a pretty cool spotlight on upcoming band, The Subways. They're this week's featured artist for the mega magazine, and I think you might enjoy this trio quite a bit. They hail from the pleasant country of England, and have already worked with super producer, Butch Vig. He is also currently working on Green Day's new album, and has previously worked with Nirvana as well. These guys are definitely well on their way to great success by far! If you're still curious about what genre they are, The Subways combine aggressive punk rock with wonderful melodies. They could be compared to Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. Both of which happen to be the punk rockers major influences for their own signature sound. Lead singer and guitarist, Billy Lunn had some kind words to say about working with Mr. Vig. He's quoted as saying, "The songs on All Or Nothing are like diary entries, essentially. We felt compelled that we had to open ourselves up, and Butch Vig was clearly the guy who was gonna do that for us." The article also includes a video clip of the band performing the last track on their new album, "Lostboy." The Subways are currently touring all of Europe, and have other cities lined up as well. Do enjoy this video, and remember to pick up their new album next time you visit a record store. The whole article is is found right here.
