Beaver's Manager Takes Jailbait
Submitted by NimrodOnElmStreet on Thu, 04/01/2010 - 12:00am
Last week Justin Beaver's manager got arrested in Long Island, New York over a mall mob resulting in misdemeanor charges. Scot "scooter" Braun's charges include reckless endangerment and obstruction of governmental administration.
The absurd news stems from a live performance last November in the Roosevelt Field mall that brought in thousands of adoring fangirls. "Scooter" could serve time for a whole year in the slammer but his lawyer Ravi Batra, says he will not be pleading guilty, and expects the situation to be fixed ASAP.
What happened exactly? It all started when over 3,000 fans showed up to an in-store appearance and a top executive for Island Def Jam Records was arrested for sending internet messages that Beaver was signing autographs, even after the event began getting chaotic.
Police called up Beaver's manager and ordered him to send out tweets that the event had gotten canceled, but oh noes, it seems that prosecutors didn't think it was fast enough. According to his prosecutors, "it took Braun one-and-a-half hours to post the tweets". Batra has stated differently. “Within seven minutes [of the phone call], Scooter got himself to a Twitter to put out the first tweet, The seven minute compliance time was as fast as humanly possible. It could only have been faster if Scooter had a Superman cape.”
"Scooter" turned himself into Williston Park, Long Island police at 8 a.m. on March 24th, and was expected by Batra to be released that same day. “He’s a hard-working clean kid.”
As a Justin Beaver fan, I am happy to say that this hasn't hurt his reputation one bit. Mr. Beaver has already dominated the Billboard 200 charts with his new album!!!!!!!!! OH My GOSH! I really can't wait for this tour you guys, aren't you all excited?
