mm2010All you Modest Mouse fans are in for a little treat! Front-man Isaac Brock is set to write music for Cartoon Network for an episode of "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack", the animated series by Thurop Van Orman.

The news was announced when Orman took to his blog on Wednesday  to share the good news. “Isaac Brock of MODEST MOUSE is collaborating with us for some music on an upcoming Flapjack Special. He is about the greatest guy around, and is doing some kickass music with us. And Flapjack is his favorite show! WOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!”

Are you still wondering what in the world is "Flapjack"? It is described as "a 22-minute cartoon about a boy in search of a fabled island made of candy. A scheduled air-time for the special episode has not yet been announced, so those anxious to see the show will just have to sit tight in their teddy-bear patterned pyjamas."

Other cool news surrounding the band, they have been confirmed to play at the 2010 Pitchfork Music Festival on Friday, July 16. The show will be held  at Chicago’s Union Park July 16-18!
