Paramore
Chad Gilbert and Hayley William's Cover of “Anyone Else But You”

@XChadballX was having problems sharing this with his followers on twittwer... so because http://www.whatseatinggilbert.com/ came to a halt and our servers are better equiped to handle the flood of people, we posted his cover here.
Need to get better servers Chad!
"Awhile ago, Hayley and I were hanging out and decided to do this cover for fun. We recorded it live straight into my computer. One take and you can tell by how bad I screw up at the end. The song is called “Anyone Else But You” by the Moldy Peaches. This song was pretty much the theme from the movie Juno. The audio quality is pretty bad, but sharing is caring. Hope you enjoy."
New "Brick By Boring Brick" Video
Submitted by NimrodOnElmStreet on Sun, 11/29/2009 - 17:11
Last week Paramore debuted their new video for "Brick By Boring Brick" on their website, Paramore.net. This new vid is directed by Meiert Avis and features the band breaking out of their usual routine and leaving out any trace of them performing.
The group came up with the video's concept and shot the entire thing on green screen, it blends bright colors and fast paced shots. Also, the plot revolves around a very young girl running for her life to escape trouble. Singer Hayley Williams sports blond hair instead of her trademark orange look all while singing on a swing, very reminiscent of the foreign film, "Pan's Labyrinth".
To go behind the scenes of the video with the band members, check out Beyond The Video-Brick By Boring Brick. Take a look at how it all came together to form the final conception.
Want to know what else is happening in the world of Paramore? The rockers just ended a North American tour and will embark on a tour of Europe, Asia, the Philippines and Australia until March 9th, 2010. So be sure to check that out, sounds like an awesome show!

Paramore Discuss "Brick by Boring Brick"
Submitted by NimrodOnElmStreet on Wed, 10/28/2009 - 18:56
Paramore just shot their second music video for "Brick by Boring Brick" in Los Angeles, California this month with director, Meiert Avis. It features castles and all sort of medieval shenanigans since "Brick By Boring Brick" is a fairy-tale metaphor.
Bassist for the band, Jeremy Davis tells MTV News exactly what viewers are going to be in for. "There's a castle in it, but there's no dragons. We essentially came up with the treatment and had a bunch of directors send in their ideas, and each was a little bit different than the others. It's our first video that's not performance based. We're not performing at all. We're in it for, like, two seconds, some of us. It's our first video that's all green screen and has a whole story behind it, and there's a lot of people acting in it, so it's cool."
Guitarist, Josh Farro also added his two cents on the vid and what he hopes the final outcome will be. "Hopefully, it will look more like 'Pan's Labyrinth' or some thing like that."
Hayley Williams, who fronts the rocking band, explains what their long time fans have long wished Paramore to do for years. "What's cool about it is there's dark elements to it...and there's a fair amount of color too. It should be well-rounded, different, if anything. Our fans, for a long time, we've noticed them kind of saying, like, 'Man, I'd really love to see Paramore not do a performance video for once,' so here it is."
The video for "Brick by Boring Brick" is scheduled to premiere sometime in November.

The group will kick things off late September at the Fox Theater in Pomona, CA, and will end early November in their hometown of Nashville, TN! Opening acts are yet to be announced so we'll have more information as it becomes available.
As we previously discussed back in July, Idol queen Kelly Clarkson will begin her All I Ever Wanted Tour in support of her fourth album of the same name. You can also expect to see The Veronicas and Parachute as her opening acts! Sounds awesome!
Last but not least, rockers "Brand New" are coming to a town near you to show off their new LP called, "Daisy". They'll start things off September 16th at the Puyallup Fair and Events Center in Washington and will conclude their last show on November 28th at the Nassau Coliseum in New York!

Paramore Grow A Pair Of "Brand New Eyes"

Hey there everyone, how's it going?
Nashville natives, Paramore, are set to release their third full-length album on September 29th. The LP is titled, "Brand New Eyes", and the first single will be called, "Ignorance".
The band revealed the album name on their official website on June 26th, 2009. Paramore worked with Green Day's producer for "American Idiot", Rob Cavallo for the project.
Singer Hayley Williams is uber excited about the record, "we made a record that is exactly what we set out to make." Back in April, Williams blogged about it on the band's Live Journal account about what you can expect, "there's fast, there's slow, and in between...happy, angry, desperate and over it. And I can't believe it's real."
The cover art for the album features a dismembered butterfly, the quartet also have the design up on their official site. Their new single will be out on July 7th, but Internet know it all's have found a short :30 second clip which can be heard on Amazon.com! Also, this is the day you can purchase the "Ignorance" ringtone along with pre-ordering the album!
If you're wondering about the title, Williams says the name is very "fitting". She's not shying away from what's on her mind, "I have a lot to say this time around, and there's a lot of things I thought I knew that I was absolutely wrong about."
The official tracklist for "Brand New Eyes" is as follows:
- "Careful"
- "Ignorance"
- "Playing God"
- "Brick by Boring Brick"
- "Turn It Off"
- "The Only Exception"
- "Feeling Sorry"
- "Looking Up"
- "Where the Lines Overlap"
- "Misguided Ghosts"
- "All I Wanted"
Check out the Rolling Stone article here. Paramore's previous albums include: "All We Know Is Falling" and "Riot". Pick up a copy next time you head to your local record shop!
Have a great day Nimrods!
Coldplay On 'New Moon' Soundtrack?
Submitted by NimrodOnElmStreet on Tue, 06/16/2009 - 04:03
Hello peeps, what's the haps? Hoping ya'll are doing excellent!
Hey there Twilight freaks, got some groovy news for you all! A fan asked The Oracle on Coldplay's official QandA website if the rumor about the song, "The Scientist", appearing on the soundtrack to "New Moon" was indeed true.
The writer's question was answered as, "it's very likely that a Coldplay song will end up on the soundtrack to the Twilight sequel given that Stephanie Meyer has credited Coldplay, amongst others, on the inner sleeve for 'being instrumental in starving off the writer's block. ' " The quartet's Oracle hasn't directly set in stone the band confirming it as the song of choice.
Although, it may not be a bad move considering the film's first soundtrack is quite a top ten best seller. Featuring rockin' acts such as: Paramore, Linkin Park, Muse and many more.
Not familiar with Twilight? It's a best selling book series from author, Stephanie Meyer. It is mainly about a girl named Bella that falls in love with a vampire named, Edward. It's a modern day forbidden love story! Check out the stats for its last opening week, it racked up a whopping $70.5 million. I only expect the sequel to do even better.
Just to give you all a bit of a tease, watch the brand spankin' official trailer for "New Moon" below. The film opens everywhere November 20th, 2009!
Paramore Working With Rob Cavallo
Submitted by NimrodOnElmStreet on Sat, 03/28/2009 - 08:43
Hello hello lovely Nimrods, how are you doing? Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far!
An article was posted on MTV.Ca about Paramore working with Rob Cavallo on their upcoming album. It'll be the follow up to the smash hit, "Riot" from 2007.
Lead singer, Hayley Williams posted an update on her blog:
"I stayed up all night writing...randomly checking my email, as if anyone emails me at 4am, and occasionally, signing online to see if maybe - JUST MAYBE - a friend would also be suffering from insomnia. I did write a few things that I thought were alright. Honestly, I'm just anxious to get into the studio. We start next Sunday. We'll actually be heading to California instead of keeping our original plan to make the record here at home...which is a-okay! In fact, I'm pretty pumped to be getting out of the sloppy weather we've had here in Franklin. We'll be making the record with Mr. Rob Cavallo...we're very excited!!! It's gonna be a good time. That's about all I have to tell you guys. We're a week away from making our full-length record."
All plans for this album are a GO! The article also says they're going to certify it a hit maker! Still no release date set in stone, although a spokesperson from the label last month said they would begin recording after they tour with No Doubt. That officially kicks off May 19th, 2009 in Fresno, California.
Cavallo is best known for working on most of Green Day's albums. Also working with My Chemical Romance, Kid Rock, Goo Goo Dolls and Alanis Morrissette.
For more info on Paramore, check out another article on Hitfix.com! The Twilight soundtrack contains two tracks from the pop-punk band. Including the standard copy and a newly-issued deluxe copy!
