No Doubt
Tragedy At The Disco

Hello there Nimrods, how are you doing today?
The past couple of days have been rough for Panic at the Disco fans, but the group want all of you to know they are "alive and very, very well" despite guitarist, Ryan Ross and bass player, Jon Walker leaving the band to tackle other musical interests.
Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith who remain in the group have both said in a joint statement that it's all been "an amazing journey", however they have reached the point where they've grown apart.
These rockers have said, "sometimes individual tastes take friends in different directions and you can't ignore it." There's no remorse within their circle, and will stand by Ross and Walker in their future endeavors, "they are some of the most talented guys we know, and we're sure that whatever they do next will be great."
The upside is, Urie and Smith also spilled the beans about writing new material ahead of the upcoming tour with No Doubt and Blink-182. This "tragedy" is only fueling the leftover bandmembers' creativity to make some more kick ass music! These two show no sign of stopping the party anytime soon!
"We know everybody has a lot of questions at this point with everything being so out of the blue, most of these should be answers in the coming weeks. We appreciate every one of you, and hope you continue with us on this incredible ride."
We're deeply sorry for the loss and wish the guys the very best!
Sugar Ray And The Wallflowers Reunite

Hey there amigos, how is everyone? Good to have you with us!
So what happens when you put No Doubt, Green Day, Blink 182, Sugar Ray and the Wallflowers in a blender and hit frappe? You get the '90's all over again! That's right kids, help yourself to a serving of the decade's best bands!
Sugar Ray will release their album, "Music for Cougars" on July 21st, 2009. This will be their first album in a whopping six years! They're best known for their radio friendly hits such as, "Fly", "Everyday" and "Falls Apart".
Not only are Sugar Ray making headlines, but a little known band called The Wallflowers are returning! Their greatest singles are, "One Headlight", "6th Ave. Heartache", and "The Difference". This band is coming together again for a summer tour kicking off June 16 in Anaheim, California at the House of Blues.
An idea for another album came after Josh Abrahams from Pulse Records, suggested the guys go back in the studio and record for his label. Their shacking up with Weezer's very own, Rivers Cuomo, Josh Freese and Donovan Frankenreiter.
The band's first single, "Boardwalk" debuts in mid-May!
Back to Sugar Ray, singer Mark McGrath has taken up several side projects including hosting gossip television show, "Extra".
He tells Billboard, "I know people aren't sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for a Sugar Ray record. But that wasn't the point. It was purely because we love to make music. We're not going anywhere. All of us have tried to sabotage the band one way or another. But some divine intervention has kept this band together and I think we all appreciate that. I think the biggest success of Sugar Ray is that after 21 years and all the booze, drugs, women, money, having no money - all those things have come into play and we're still together. That, to me, is the biggest reward."
The album will be supported by a tour that starts July 24th at the Dakota Magic Casino.
Likewise, Wallflowers will tour to support their greatest hits album. This disc will include unreleased tracks!
Groovy! I get to live my childhood all over again, I'm ready to party like it's 1999! Check out this article from Hitfix.com!
Paramore Working With Rob Cavallo
Submitted by NimrodOnElmStreet on Sat, 03/28/2009 - 08:43
Hello hello lovely Nimrods, how are you doing? Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far!
An article was posted on MTV.Ca about Paramore working with Rob Cavallo on their upcoming album. It'll be the follow up to the smash hit, "Riot" from 2007.
Lead singer, Hayley Williams posted an update on her blog:
"I stayed up all night writing...randomly checking my email, as if anyone emails me at 4am, and occasionally, signing online to see if maybe - JUST MAYBE - a friend would also be suffering from insomnia. I did write a few things that I thought were alright. Honestly, I'm just anxious to get into the studio. We start next Sunday. We'll actually be heading to California instead of keeping our original plan to make the record here at home...which is a-okay! In fact, I'm pretty pumped to be getting out of the sloppy weather we've had here in Franklin. We'll be making the record with Mr. Rob Cavallo...we're very excited!!! It's gonna be a good time. That's about all I have to tell you guys. We're a week away from making our full-length record."
All plans for this album are a GO! The article also says they're going to certify it a hit maker! Still no release date set in stone, although a spokesperson from the label last month said they would begin recording after they tour with No Doubt. That officially kicks off May 19th, 2009 in Fresno, California.
Cavallo is best known for working on most of Green Day's albums. Also working with My Chemical Romance, Kid Rock, Goo Goo Dolls and Alanis Morrissette.
