The long anticipated deluxe edition of "California" by Blink-182 is said to release May 19th, 2017 when the band's bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus replied to a fan via Twitter. It's likely to come out in mid-May instead of April as previously speculated.
According to Travis Barker, it's going to be even better than the original "California" itself. “We got a problem: The deluxe album might even be better than California.”
Hoppus also contributed his two cents when describing what kind of vibe and different sound textures you can expect to hear on the deluxe copy. “A lot of high-energy songs, punk rock, some more ballad-y songs, a little more electronic experimentation.”
"Speaking with Billboard in December, Blink-182 revealed some details on California 2.0. Some of the songs were written during the album’s original sessions; others were composed after California had been released."
I don't know about you guys, but I am mega excited for a second helping of Blink-182 with new music and another tour in North America. I've totally been rocking out to all of the band's discography while on a Blink kick lately and I literally just want more!
